IMPORTANT NOTICE-Registration is now being held open at this retreat because the Blue Cliff Monastery Retreat has reached capacity. But please register sooner rather than later while there is still space available.

The ideal of individualism as a guiding principle for our society needs to be reconsidered. It has brought some of us to a place of separation and loneliness, of discrimination and conflict, and of arrogance and narrowness. We have a chance to come together to practice the art of awakening, of mindfulness not as an isolated self, but as a community of brothers and sisters. Much has been studied and discovered about the potential and power of the collective. Informed with the Buddhist wisdom of “interbeing” and “nonself”, we can combine our energy of mindfulness and concentration to realize our full potential and our need of each other. We will learn and practice to awaken to each moment and be fully present to our breath and our steps and to each other as a spiritual family.
